Garden
and Sitooterie
This area of Scotland enjoys a temperate climate. The garden blooms in the summer months although there is colour all year round. When we purchased the house in 1991 there was only a small garden (which we have developed) at the front of the house but gradually the gardens to the side and rear have taken shape. Throughout its development the gardens have won many awards. We garden organically when possible.
This
left hand picture is a view taken from the sitooterie
late one spring evening (see sitooterie below).
The right hand one is the garden in spring.
So many birds visit the garden regularly. Some species are: bullfinch, yellowhammer, coal tit, blue tit, blackbird (several nests around), thrush, robin, wren.

The picture is a view of the garden from the sitooterie on a summer evening. In addition to the comfortable dining room/TV lounge this other guest lounge is delightful and offers peace, comfort and relaxation for guests.
